How to get free minutes for the Oystr?

I just bought the Oystr for 29.99 and thought I was getting a deal but the catch was that it only came with 2 minutes and 50 seconds and because Im 13 that was my birthday money so I kinda dont have any until next allowance to buy a card and school starts on Friday and I need to have more than 2 minutes...is there anyway i can get free or unlimited minutes without paying for them?

The only thing that I could think of is recomending a freind to Virgin Mobile. Many companies will credit you with something if you do this.
