William Henry Harrison, provided, of course, he had a good editor to delete some of the more obscure references from his reply.
William Henry Harrison holds the record for the longest Presidential Inaugaral address with an 8,445 word speech that took nearly 2 hours to deliver. And this, after Daniel Webster (yes, the Daniel Webster of dictionary fame) edited his speech, making major deletions. (Webster jollily boasted of his editing job that he had killed "seventeen Roman proconsuls as dead as smelts, every one of them").
If not for Webster, Harrison's address might have lasted his entire Presidency. As it was, his inaugaral address lasted 0.27 percent of his Presidential term, the largest percentage of a Presidency ever spent giving an inaugaral address.
In fact, if Harrison had been able to say everything that he had included in his first draft, he might have died sooner, drastically increasing the percentage of his Presidency spent making his inaugaral address. Harrison insisted on giving his speech outdoors without a coat in spite of the horrible February weather. He caught pneumonia from the time he spent exposed to the elements while giving his speech and died 30 days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes later.
Ironically, the man with the longest inaugaral speech had the shortest term of office, primarily because he was the man capable of answering any question (including yours) in the greatest number of words possible.

Actually, nobody technically can give the longest answer to the question and still have it make sense because there is no question to be answered. If there is no question, there is no answer, therefor there is no longest answer that still makes sense. There are many different ways you can look at this question that you have here IF it even can be considered a question. Here is my question: Why ask this question? it is not even a question, but all a person really has to say is who can give the longest answer to this question that still actually answers it AND makes sense? All a person can really say is "well actually I can" or "me" or "you" him, her, we, them, etc. etc. etc. when really the whole question in the beginning has no point to begin with. the answer that would make sense that is long and still answers the question is Estaban Julo De Roso Pe Choso Ramirez
That is my answer! thank you for your time, have a good day, and don't forget, fast food and sodas are bad for you!

Answering a question would require the knowlege of that field, as would be common knowlege; if you don't know what the answer is, then you can't answer.
The length of the answer, however, has two factors involved: how extensive your knowlege is in the field in question and how much detail you are willing to put into answering the question. Logic will tell you that how much detail you add to the reply to any question relies on the extent of knowlege you posess. For example, if you were to ask me how I would go about writing a piece of music, I would have a very extensive answer indeed, for I have written music before, and on more than one account. But if you were to ask who was the president of Japan at this point, then I would have very little to print, other than a few dozen question marks, owing to the fact that I know almost nothing about the politics or elections of the people if Japan.
I would like to state that I might be able to answer the aforementioned question with the longest text, because I write in my spare time. I not only write music, as I have stated earlier, but also stories and poems.
I would write more, but I am working in a Public Library in Detroit, and my time is up.

I can answer your question and still make sense, but so can anyone that can read and wright. So, there you go, I answered your question for you. I would grace you with more words but I am currently at work and do not have time to BS about answering a question that anyone can answer, however no one human can give you the longest anwer to your question. Because they would have to know everyone in the world who can read and wright. That person would also have to know every language to all nations that have education in reading and wrighting. There for, you are best off asking a God.

that is not a very logical question, however i will answer it anyways because i think its funny! As of now i believe that Black Angel's answer is in fact the longest in length. However, i also believe that his answer is too long and much too boring and tedious to read. Therefore i am going to leave my answer at this and hope that you will pick this answer as the best one! However if you pick black angel's answer i will say that you have much too much time on your hands and need to find a hobby.....
ok have fun reading all of these LONG ANSWERS!!hahahhaha lol

I can give the longest possible answer to your question that still actually answers it AND it definitely makes sense (such as it is).

If I were answering this question, I would write down an answer, then I would read over my answer to make sure it was OK. I would read, "If I were answering this question, I would write down an answer, then I would read over my answer to make sure it was OK. I would read, "If I were answering this question, I would write down an answer, then I would read over my answer to make sure it was OK. I would read, "... ,", then I would submit the answer.", then I would submit the answer.", then I would submit the answer", then I would submit the answer.
So my answer is infinitely long. I had to put ... in most of it to fit it in this space.
