Hi well ist off all you must make sure you are still not in any pain with the metatarsal injury as you dont want to give your self more pain. The Metatarsal is a very small bone and doesnt really need alot off exercises as you do walk on that foot thats quite alot really. It would be differant if you fractured the ankle then you would have to have physio after as the ankle can get very stiff and weak.Take it easy as you have only just got out off the cast, gently move the foot up and down in the bath is always better for fractures, also swimming is also good for injurys like this.Make sure you take the tubigrip off when exercising and when you go to bed.Any further problems you have go bck and see your GP but im sure you will be ok as this is only a small fracture and the healing process is very very quick.Good Luck.

I had a toe fracture last year, which required surgery and sutures. After the bandages came off, the stitches came out, and the splint came off, the docs told me to do simple flexion and extension exercises to get the range of motion back to normal. Good luck to you!

Simply moving the foot with regular excercises will help. Once the foot loses the tenderness you can do some toe raises.

Shame Sven isn't still in charge, you'd be in the England squad as quick as blinking.

try to leave it be to heal for at least a full month than start to wiggle it a little and rotate it but any shooting pains stop or you will break it again
