I used to have thick beautiful hair and now everytime i get out of the shower i leave chunks of hair in there. I have no idea why it doesn't run in my family. Anyone have any suggestions?

It may be from a lot of stress or an unhealthy lifestyle. Try a different conditioner and diet (not talking about an actual diet, but what you eat on a regular basis, watch for junk).

She must be dieing her hair too lots. And to Laurel, the only reason those with maximum cancers lose their hair is with the help of Chemotherepy and different drugs. So if somebody isn't on maximum cancers drugs, then their hair would not fall out.

If you are losing your hair its one of 2 things. first find out if they have changed the chemicals in the city water lately. some chemicals when added toghther cause hair loss. second, figure out if you have been under stress lately.or started a diet. stress can also cause hair loss.

Start by making sure you have a balanced diet. Also check your medications, some of them can cause hair loss. Stress also causes hair loss.

try eating more protein and vitamin e and it could also be caused by stress. and its normal to lose small ammounts of hair, i know i do and im 20/f but female hair lose runs in my family. check online for ways to build stronger hair. i wouldnt worry about it but if it gets really out of hand go see a doctor.

It could be stress, diet, or a medical condition. You could have a thyroid disorder or something else. You should see a doctor as soon as you can to make sure that your body is functioning properly.

If it's not genetic. my first thought is a thyroid problem. See a doctor and get tested! Good luck - it's probably reversible!
