Completely OPPOSE! He stole the election in 2000 and has thrown us into a useless war, wasting trillions of dollars. he's lining his own pockets with everyday that this war continues. he is injecting religion in the office of the president and is close to declaring christianality as the offical religion of the US. he tramples on the constitution and is stripping us of our constitutional rights everyday. this is just the tip of the ice berg.

I don't really understand why we have to be so hate full. Yes, it seems Bush is a total idiot on many of the issues and in at least one way has sold the American people down the river and is trying to do so in other ways. It is equally true that in some ways he seems to be trying to do what he believes is right. The thing is, no one is perfect. Does anybody honestly think they could step into his shoes and do a perfect job and make everybody in this country happy? Being in his position is not easy and he is our commander in chief. As Americans, can't we at least show some semblance of respect for the person in that position? Have we sunk so low as a nation of people that we can't disagree without attacking the person, especially one in his position? I am an independent because I think both Republicans and Democrats have lost sight of the big picture. I vote for who I feel will do the best job for the people and the country. I am not always right but who is when it comes to politics? I am also actively involved in non-partisan organizations that are actively involved in the political and legal arenas to try and keep this country, the country it was intended to be. This is what being an American is all about. Hate and decent only harbor negativism, and ill feelings, it does nothing to pull this country together in strength. In order to combat and keep enemies at bay, we must pull together and be strong together. That doesn't mean we have to agree on all the issues. It just means we should quit being so negative and pull together for the common good. To dislike issues, not each other. Together we stand. Divided we fall. The enemy says; "Divide and conquer"! And that's what they are doing!

I oppose this president b/c he has not defended our Constitution as he vowed when he took office. He divided us after he called himself a uniter during his campaign and made the world hate us even after 9/11 when we had all the goodwill we could stand. He used his own personal religious beliefs to defend his many effed up positions when he should've been thinking about ALL citizens, not just christian beliefs. I love America and I've never felt this way about a president until this one. Makes my heart hurt.
Peace~

generally oppose.
Because he's really f*&ked things up.
Because he used 9/11 to make people think Iraq was responsible.
Because he has created a tremendous partisan rift- unequalled in american history.
Because he (and his congress) has run us bankrupt.
If you're not really really angry, then you're not paying attention.
And you probably support him for one or more of the 'polarizing issues' of abortion or gay marriage- which both have little to do with running our country.
And now I just read the three answers before mine and I'm not sure if they are being facetious? or actually believe that his actions are making the country safer, and it's unamerican to question the president. OMG- what are we teaching our children these days (apparently to blindly follow authority and not think).

oppose!! In this country, congress MAKES the laws; the supreme court INTERPRETS the laws and the president ENFORCES the laws!
Bush says that HE can make the laws( wiretapping) and interpret any law congress passes( his margin notes on various bills).
Sounds like a dictatorship to me.
