to make weekly, biweekly or monthy televised appearances to share what is going on in the country and address problems?
I understand that we have press conferences, and other speeches, but those are few and far between. I feel that if we had more face time with our leaders people would be more inclined to participate in their government.

I have seen this in other countries and would love to have it in the US!

thoughts?

I'd rather they spend their time working instead of babysitting the public.

Given the assumption that they wouldn't be talking in sound bites, if we had all our federal, state, and local leaders speaking weekly, that's all there would be on TV. Personally, I've seen enough of Chappaquiddick Killer Ted and Flip-Flop John to last me a life time. It would be much better if people read the newspaper for their news, as biased as it might be, instead of depending on the sound-bite, show-biz news programs.
