I would recommend putting in a place where there are several inches of space for ventilation on all sides. I have had mine for several months and experienced no issues. If you are really concerned you could get the Nyko Intercooler

It is available at most retailers (BestBuy, EB Games, etc) for around $25

Xbox and you don't really need to worry about the red rings as much now its more a disk reading problem that can be sorted with ease. i have had an xbox since 08 and i haven't had the read rings at all i play it everyday. you have a ps3 there is not much point in having 2 also with the xbox there is games that the ps3 don't have aswell as the ps3 having games that the 360 dosent. Also it was my brother that got me to get an xbox as he had on 6 months before me and it was so satisfying playing the first modern warfare, so i would reccomend any xbox but if you want to play online make sure you have a hardrive :)

just put it on a small table or desk or shelf and keep cool, any system can overheat in a hot environment.

dont worry about it, those problems were with the 1st one. all of my friends say the 360 is a beast and it has no problems.
