The only tattoo I've had done was permanent eyeliner and it hurt like HELL!!!!!!!!!!!! Belly button piercing didn't hurt too bad -- it went fast and me and my girlfriend had had a few drinks.

yes.
when getting a tattoo, they're basically scraping off a few layers of skin and putting ink into the opening. Never had one myself but watched my husband get his.. looks painful to me.
belly button is definitely not a comfortable experience, but much faster than a tattoo. Just don't watch. The healing hurts more than the actual piercing.

I got my belly button pierced @ 16 yrs old. It hurts for a few minutes. They have to use a needle, so of coure you can feel it. It is very quick & only stings a little big afterwards. Definetely not too painful..
p.s I'm afraid of needles so I wouldn't play down the pain.

GEtting a tattoo works like this the closer the niddle is to your bones the more it will hurt, if you have senitive skin it will hurt other that that a tatto is painless

my tattoos kinda hurt it's a strange pain everyone reacts different and it depends on where you get it done and if the guy has a heavy hand or not

yes my navel hurt alot when i got it pierced along with my friend who got it done with me. i even paid 5 extra dollars for numbing gel, its only a one time pain though and lasts for a minute of two

yes tattoos hurt not sure about thr bb but did you know that you can be exposed to hep c from a tattoo parlor thats not clean is it worth the risk ???????????

Bellybutton peircings don't hurt one bit....but I would wait on the tattoo....research it....But only you know how much pain you can handle..do what you think you can...

depends on ware you get the tattoo, if you get it on an aria with alot of"meat" it wont hurt so much.

yes they are both a little painful, but I would say the piercing is worse.....the naval takes a while to heal and it hurts......
