They've never done anything for this country b/c they've only been around since W took office. (Hence the definition: NEO = New & Cons = Conservatives) They suck if you ask me and are personally responsible for the state of the nation today. Let's see here: Military is pro-conservative. Police forces (not unions) are pro-conservative. EMT and FD are pro-conservative.
You are sadly mistaken with your handouts comment, that is a very liberal philosophy, i.e welfare, food stamps, universal healthcare, etc. If you believe the tax laws are fair in the US, you definitely are a liberal/socialist. The Feds should fund certain things and not others, such as the growing social programs. If you want to find who gets the votes from "handout seekers", check your local Democrat Party registry.

They convinced George Bush to free Iraq from Sadaam where we were greeted with flowers. The Iraqis thank us every day. Israel enjoys having a new stable, westernized government next door. The rich were not getting paid for their talents, and now they are justly rewarded with immense tax cuts. They got rid of that Democrat surplus, that money was just laying there, not doing anything. They proved that deficit spending is the way to go and that we could decrease taxes for the rich in time of war.

They proved the government on all levels is corrupt when it comes to education. Even high school principals with doctorate couldn't pass the tests from "Leave no Child Behind."
Stars now have to pay taxes for the free gifts they get (and they get a lot) and there is less corporate corruption (the real reason why the '90s were such "good times" economically).
While the U.S. has under 5% unemployment, liberal Europe has between 7%-30% unemployment depending on the country.

First, most of the things you are talking about are local issues so only people who live around you can speak to this. Second, no one expects those services for free except for welfare people, most of whom vote Democrat I might add. In Philadelphia, we pay close to $600 for the paramedics just to come to the house. Second, if we want to discuss what the Dems have done for society, Jim Crow and segregation springs to mind.
