I wanted to play DVDs in my laptop but would like to watch it on my TV... thanks for your help! Have a good day ;)

You need a graphics card with either a Svideo out, or DVI out. Course, on that note you also need a TV that can handle the input you are using.

Also, you will need speakers to play sound from your laptop, unless you have a sound card that output to another device via RCA or F/O cable.

Your laptop needs a very fast video card to send that type of info to your tv. your HP prob doesn't h ave it.

That depends on your computer but i think super video cable is the most comon on notebooks
