I'm looking for a good - inexpensive gift idea for my wife
No on flowers, and the whole romantic evening is a give'n
all thoughts would be welcome

Go to Walmart, they have these wicker laundry type baskets for like 3 bucks. Grab one of those, fill it with some candles, bath beads or bubble bath, over by the books section at our Walmart they have some instumental cds, grab one of them, and if she drinks anything like wine coolers or mixed drinks grab some of them too. If you wanted to go this far you could also get Ky warming jelly. Then you can give her a romantic, relaxing bath with candles, music, bubbles & you, and afterward a nice massage. Place a nice new towel in the basket and then assemble all the items in the basket and place it on the bed for to see when she walks in. Good luck and have a wonderful evening!!!

How about a coupon book full of homemead coupons for things like... a 30 min foot massage... a night of doing the dishes... one homemade dinner... a date night of her choice... vacuming the house...
anything that you can think of that stresses her out or makes her day hectic... I know it sounds cheesy but if she knows you guys are low on funds and can't afford a big gift she'll appreciate that you didn't spend a lot. And she'll love the idea of being treated like a queen... just make sure she uses the coupons... even if you have to remind her.

A gift card from a Spa or hair salon
That pair of shoes that she's been eyeing for a while

Try giving her a resolution from your side of one thing not to be done by you anymore that she dislikes the most. Then stick with your promise. This shall be the least expensive but most worthy gift from you, if you love her.

books whats her fave author, clean the whole house with out her help so she has a day off. I would love that. A necklace or a locket they don't have to cost a fortune

Cook dinner for her. It doesn't have to be fancy, but make it her favorite thing.
My wife loves it when I cook for her.
Do everything for her, make sure she doesn't lift a finger all day, and to make it even more special, carry it on for a few days after the birthday.
Most importantly, show her what she means to you (as I am sure you do every day - but make it more obvious this day).

im a rather elementary individual 2 dozens of pink roses with a definite notes makes me chuffed,i in my opinion treasure it and that i saved those vegetation.....i assume a diamond ring and choose for a dinner with a candle easy then say that u love her plenty then supply it to her.i guess she will have the means to like it plenty
