We could I suppose. I think most people would tune out from boredome after listening to 100 hopefulls. Plus most people aren't up on the issues that would be debated. So in the end we need the spinners to give us a spinned jist of what we missed.

The American public would still need to be told who won. Unless there were a scoring system in place for them to follow that shows who got the most points, they wouldn't know who to vote for. Spin doctors would not exist if the American public weren't so spinnable in the first place.

100 is totally impractical, but it would be nice if we could get down to a few and let them debate without spin doctors and the biased media.

That would be awesome, but it would have to be a debate on the issues.........not a competition on who could call the other candidate(s) the worst name or who could sling mud the furthest.
