A smile always helps. It sounds so simple, but it truly does.

Every customer service centers needs may be different based upon available resources, products offered, etc. At the core of good customer service skills, is a genuine ability to understand what the customer needs, and deliver it on time, as expected, until complete.

1. Acknowledge the customer and request.
2. Set the Timeframe and Resolution Steps.
3. Manage progress, expectatations, and progress until complete.
4. Validate Resolution.
5. Close with confidence of a job well done.

Do that consistently enough of the time, and your service costs will stay reasonable, your escalations low, and customer satisfaction high.

try to make them happy. everyone is different so the regular customer you should get to know. that way you will know how to please them every time there in the store. I work at meijers it is hard sometimes.. there was this lady writing a check and because of the amount we have to call the bank for approval. the lead to the check and her id. sometimes it 15minutes for the bank to answer. she yell so loud that the whole store could hear her. just over her id. she thought the lead took for good i guess. you have to give them what they want most of the time. even if you know you are right.

Never argue with a customer. If they are mad, let them wind down before responding.
