★★ IE UNRECOVERABLE ERROR TOOL ★★

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. Restart Microsoft Internet Explorer. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve Microsoft Internet Explorer. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous. ◙ TIP: When I receive this error I just drag the error box down below the bottom of the screen where I can longer see it and continue surfing the web. If you click either of the buttons on the error box all browser windows will close.

★★ MICROSOFT PRODUCT DISCUSSION GROUPS ★★
◙ Here are hundreds of Discussion Groups for Microsoft products such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Outlook Express and the list goes on and on. There is even a discussion group for the new Internet Explorer 7 beta.

I have run into this problem with several clients lately, and in every case there was a conflict with another application. Please check your error logs by going to control panel-administrative options-event viewer (both the application and system logs) and record the source and error code for any line that occured at or around the times that IE experienced its error.

You may be able to figure out what is causing the error this way. As an example in two recent cases, Norton live update was causing the conflict, and by running live update repeatedly until all updates were downloaded and installed, the problem resolved.

You are not alone. I asked this yesterday. All I get are use Firefox answers. I don't want to use Firefox. I use Win 2000 PRO with IE6.01 and do not see a fix for this yet.

It started happening after last weeks security patches.

Switch to Firefox like said above. Totally get rid of IE!! I had some type of virus/adware this past weekend and it took me 3 days to get rid of it. Finally did by downloading Firefox and Spybot. Good luck!!!
