hey, this is probly a stupid question, but why do people put their index and pinky fingers up at concerts?

It is rumored to be a sign for satan. Now it just kind of means ROCK! Like index and middle means peace, and pinky and thunb mean hang 10.

thats a good question...i dont know. maybe it was done by guitarists who would hold the plectrum inbetween their thumb and middle finger and so the forefinger and pinky were the only ones free. then everyone else copied them.
