Sorry the adult world just don't work that way.

The wish world, of course, DOES.

Which one do most people inhabit ?

Question two:

Someone competent enough to run a Seven-Eleven is a worker -with some intelligence- who could never be measured as poor.
So by what fantasmagoric process would the Peak of Executive Power be reached by a poor man, who's implicitly uneducated and unskilled ?

Maybe what you meant was an _HONEST_ incorruptible man who would become etc etc.

Sorry...never seen one, and I know politics of two or thrre different countries up close.

We could find the best man for the job IF we had public-funded election campaigns.
Give each candidate X amount of dollars to use in his campaign and put anybody in jail that injects his money into the process.
The amount could be based on the population that each office reports to. Presidential candidates would get the most, senators from large states would get more than those from smaller states, etc.
This would eliminate all the influences of big money that corrupts our present government officials.
The cost would be a lot less than what we are shelling out to special interest, now.

You have to know people and have connections with powerful people to pull it off. Lincoln for one has done it. Same with Harry Truman. Very tough though but doable.
