Is this a streetlight that is out, or a bunch of houses on a street without power?

If it's a streetlight, you may need to contact the city, power company or your homeowners association (depending who put the light in and who services it).

If many houses on a street are without power, you need to contact the power company.

no the electricty company if the houses have no power as well but the council if just one lamp post

yes its a health and safety issue, they must respond within 24 hours. if they dont, turn the light on yourself. lol.
