There are a lot of variables which service providers use to confuse customers. Rollover minutes, starting times for low-cost nightime usage, text message costs, sending photos, internet access.
For a basic phone service, try a 3rd party provider who resells a plan. Their costs can be lower than the original carrier. For example, Parrot Cellular in Calif is cheaper than Cingular because their handsets are lower priced.
Cingular and Verizon are the two main US providers. T-Mobile and Nextel-Sprint are their other competitors and you can probably get better rates (monthly, more minutes, longer night hours) than C or V.
T-Mobile is owned by the German phone company, Deutsch-Telekom, which is one of the largest in Europe. I suspect they can partially subsidize their costs to build market share in the US.
Nextel-Sprint also offers a walkie-talkie network which lets you communicate with other Nextel customers for virtually no network charges at all.
Check on the web for cellular service plan comparisons. I remember several websites which used to provide that data, but I don't have them bookmarked.
Good luck.

Started with Verizon, then tried Cingular, then I am back with Verizon.
With Cingular, I had dropped calls, I couldn't even get reception in my home. Cingular kept saying they were working on a tower here and there. Gave me the run around.
I decided my best bet was to go back to Verizon. My Mom has tried T-Mobile she had the same problem I did with Cingular.
I also have a Tracfone for text messaging and it's for a back up for when I go out into no man's land.
Good Luck with whatever company you decide to use.
You can also find message boards for each company or I found one that talked about all cell companies. It is a great way to find out information about what other's experience in your local area. Do the research before you take the plunge.

i have no longer heard of ISI both. My advice is figuring out your strengths and your passions. once you discover them then commence your search for searching for something that parallels your personality. If it really is earrings then seem for earrings, if it a service that provides cost reductions on prevalent purchases then seem for that, if well being is significant to you or those on the breaking point of then you seem for something in that field. maximum those who are not effective in domicile depending agencies have chosen products or facilities that they are no longer obsessed on or that it would not fit their personality. it really is critical that you look at quite a few issues with regards to organizations you align your self with. Do they take earnings of folk? Is their an excellent form of turnover in human beings on the problem of the corporate? How sturdy is their help? How sturdy is their repayment plan? Are they moral? What differentiates them from somebody else? Are the products or facilities as sturdy as they're saying they're? Do those who use the products or facilities have authentic memories of the benefits? Is the service or product unique? a number of this stuff should be seen. i have been in touch with quite a few diverse organizations and characteristic been disillusioned after I've considered the corporate for myself. i have at the moment got here upon 2 organizations that are unique, grant tremendous products and facilities, and characteristic tremendous repayment plans. So save searching and ask round. in case you fairly want to discover something you'll. If i might want to be of furher innovations enable me comprehend.

Cingular because of the rollover minutes. For the price, they provide the best value currently and have least dropped calls versus Verizon, etc.
