It's a real tough call. The Tigers are now stumbling and the White Sox are in their rearview mirror and the Twins in THEIR rearview mirror. The Red Sox didn't do themselves any favors by dropping five straight to the Yankees and giving the Blue Jays a glimmer of hope in the East. The A's should sew up the West, but the Angels and Rangers aren't dead yet. It's just too hard to say what it is going to be in the AL, but darned if it isn't exciting to watch. This season has been the best season in a long time because it is so tight between every team in both leagues, and the pennants & wildcards will be decided in the very last games.

Too bad it can't be both the White Sox and Twins. I'd give the White Sox the edge because of their run last year. It is going to be quite interesting. The White Sox will be a very scary opponent for any of the playoff teams to face. I'm sure the Yankees would prefer seeing someone else.

Minnesota. Boston looks like they are all but done. The White Sox are the only other competition. Minnesota needs its two young starters (Bonser, Garza) to keep them in games until Liriano can get back into the rotation. The Twins have been the best team in the bigs since the break (record wise).

White Sox have the upper hand. The Red Sox are history. Twins have a better chance than the Red Sox.

I think Minnesota definitely has a chance with Liriano coming back, and Santana back to being Johan Santana. Morneau and Mauer are two of the best hitters in the AL.
I also wouldn't count out the White Sox. They are a streaky team, but when they are on, they can't be stopped.

I would rather it be the Twins or White Sox. I really don't want to see both the Yankees and Red Sox in the playoffs, more specifically the Red Sox. White Sox would make for better playoff games. So it would be nice to see the White Sox make it, but either AL Central team would be nice.

last years WS champ chisox
steady and formidable bosox or
the hard charging twins???
boston is a little too far out (i know 4 gmsisn't much) nd with chicago & minnesota facing off in the last 3games of the season, it's going to come down to that one withthe twins coming out on top... they are jsut having too good of a run since the all star break to stop .... my only caveat is if chicago can sweep them in their next series, chicago will win it

I'd like to see the Angels or the Red Sox, which could still happen. Most likely White Sox.
