Im pregnant with my first baby and im sick of women telling me its my first so she will be late but i know it also depends on the person. I am just curious if anyone remembers how soon their first baby dropped before giving birth. My baby dropped a week an a half ago and Ive heard it can be up to four weeks before you give birth. Im 36 weeks pregnant and shes gonna be just fine being born now. Just cant wait to see her little face. So how early did you give birht after your first baby dropping?

My first was born four days early. He dropped a week or two earlier. I didn't know it, but my midwife told me he had.

They come whenever they want to! Some early, some "late" but whatever it is, is the right time for your baby. Try to be patient, but be prepared in case he decides to come early!

I dont recall the baby dropping but I was due on the 20th and ended up having an emergency c-section on the 12th. Was on bedrest for the last 6 weeks for contractions all the time. Then one morning like 7 am they got "real bad" so I went to the hospital. Only dialted to 1cm when I got there and never made it past 5 cm 3 hours later. Decided to get the epidural for the pain and contractions were off the charts. Good thing I did get the epi for I was in labor all day and had an emergency c-section at 9:40 that night as I never dialted any more than 5 cm for he was stuck and blood pressure started to dropping.
The babies do come when it is time and it is one thing we cannot control when it comes to giving birth. congrats and all the best in delivery!

I don't exactly remember when any of my babies "dropped", but my first was born on her due date with no induction- second was induced at 2 weeks overdue and the third was 3 days early with induction after I was already dilated to 5. They are all different. Don't listen to what everyone says.

I know what your going through. I have 2 girls 18months and 4months. with my first I didn't know what to expect and i got so tired of everyone telling me different things and to just wait. Me and my husband went in to the er 3 times a week for the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy with my first cause i didn't know what to expect. I was dilated to 2 for the last 4 weeks and she wasn't coming. Than I got my membranes scraped at my 38 week check up and lost my mucus plug 2 days later and gave birth 2 days after that. With the last one I didn't go to the er at all but I did get my membranes scraped at my 38week check up and the next morning I gave birth to my little girl. So sorry but there is no rhyme or reason to when the baby is coming it happens when it happens I tried everything to bring my girls early i even gave my self a enema. Gross. I vacuumed slid down the stairs on my but i mean everything you can think of!!! The easiest on you will be relaxing and make sure you have things ready!!!! best of luck and congratulations!!!!!

My first was born 37 weeks and 2 days

I am pregnant with my 4th and she dropped around 32 weeks and I am now 35 weeks...I expect to have her around 37-38 weeks as my 2 older daughters, one was born 37 weeks and 2 days and the other was born 38 weeks. I carry small babies so I do not believe in that it is your first baby BS

My son now 27 was 2 months(!!!) early. He was healthy but small. The docs said he'd be small and not in best health as he got older. He fooled them. He's 6' 2" and excelled in HS sports winning state competitions...and I can't remember him ever being sick other than the regular colds etc. I had a check up and they said he would be "on time" as far as delivery goes. I took my first Lamaze class the next day...oops...he arrived the next evening. I am small waisted and never noticed a "drop". Congrats on your baby and enjoy every minute !!

I don't remember her dropping, but my first two children were both born over a week after the due date.

He came 3 weeks earlier, - people said to me when I was about 8 months pregnant that I dropped.
I've heard that before too "he'll be late".
It can't be predicted.
Good luck!!! And congrats!
