HCG hormone effected by pill?

Question

Now i know being on the pill does not effect the test result but could being on the pill take the HCG longer to become stronger? Im still on the pill for a few more weeks before i know whether or not i miss a period. I have loads of symptoms though but have taken a test which came out negative

Well you're not supposed to be able to get pregnant on the pill, but I'm living proof that you can. Get off the pill a.s.a.p. if you really truly think you are pregnant.

If you think your pregnant then please STOP taking the pill. You could harm that baby. Use condoms until you know for sure. And HCG levels can be detected no matter what. It just takes a little time for the at home pregnancy test to pick the levels up. Give it 2-3 weeks longer and if you haven't started your period by then, then take another test. If still negative and no period then go to your OBGYN and tell them whats going on and they might give you a blood pregnancy test just to be sure.

I had that happen to me before, I thought I was and wasn't, but you are better off to get off the pills and start the cycle again than risk birth defects if you are. Just be careful to use some other method until after the first month you restarted the cycle. When I was pg, I took a test too early and I didn't find out until I was 6 wks along when I took the test again. Better safe than sorry. You really should see the doctor.

HCG doubles every 2 to 3 days no matter what pill you are taking. If you are pregnant or you think you may be pregnant then you need to stop taking the pills and see your doctor right away. It still could be too early to detect the pregnancy.
