Purchased an older(1990) Commodore trailer home and trying to fix it up for my kids and myself to live in. Don't think the roof was ever "coated'' and it has some rust spots which have resulted in leaks. I am looking to discuss alternative roofing solutions if anyone has any ideas or things they have tried, I would like to hear from you.

I'd go with shingles myself. They could patch up the holes with tin metel or ply wood depending on the hole size and depth.

Then I'd put weather watch guard over the holes and this is some sticky stuff that won't allow anything threw it.

I've never heard of $22 a square but If you can find it that low they probably suck! lol
