Gymnastics has no specific age,it depends on the Physical strength you've got,aslong as you see yourself equipped to hit the gym,do so,not only weight lifting,but every sport,but before doing any kind of gymnastics,you have to refer to a "Therepist" first,to asure that you have the Physical abilty to do gymnastics.

as soon as your child is willing to go, and you feel like they have enough control of their body to not hurt themselves. if they are too clumsy, wait a while until they have better body control. don't force it upon them though, it is a sport that some do not like.

PS- they should be potty-trained, too.

its better to start young, even though there is no specific age to start learning, but starting when you're young leaves you more time to learn different skills
