RE:
Can anyone explain the difference between Kb, Mb & GB to me?

A bit (b) is a binary digit which is either 0 or 1. A byte (B) is 8 bits grouped together. Kilo, mega, giga or terra means 1000, 1 million, 1 billion or 1 trillion bits or bytes. A 100 GB drive can store 100 billion bytes.

b indicates bits, B indicates bytes so the case matters... Kb is not the same as KB.

1 byte is the smallest allocation of memory a kilobyte is 1024 bytes and is still small and it goes up like this : a mb is 1024 kb ,

KB (kilobyte) is the smallest of the three. 1,000 KB is equal to 1 MB (megabyte). 1,000 MB is equal to 1 GB (gigabyte) Also, B (byte) which is the smallest one, 1,000 of them is equal, to one KB.

Here is the breakdown of the media files:

Audios (Songs) are usually 3-8 MB (3,000-8,000 KB).
Videos (Movies) are usually 200-800 MB (200,000 KB to 800,000 KB)

KB = Kilo byte =1000
MB= Mega Byte = 1000000
GB= Mega Byte = 1000000000
It is number of bytes (08 bits = 1 byte)
In computer technology, the strength of a system is measured with the number of bytes it can handle, process or transfer etc.
