I worked and managed a Pizza Hut for years, and I think cook is the best position. You will be trained, and there are usually charts to follow. Don't worry- you will be fine. And it is relatively fun. It can get hot sometimes, but not bad. There are recipes posted for every step-from dough, sauce, etc. to topping the pizzas. Most pizza rest. now have auto. ovens. Good luck!!

Like some of the answers you have already got say- most places do use dough that is already made, formed, and frozen, all you do is put the measured amount of sauce on and smear and spread to edges with the back of a spoon. As for memorizing toppings-most kitchens keep a menu or list of somekind taped up in the kitchen for reference. Usually you will have to weigh each topping and the amount applied will depend on the size of pizza ordered. The great thing about any cooking job, is that you won't go hungry!:)

Are you opening a business or applying?
I think it would be best if you did not start your business if this is what you are saying. Most businesses fail in the first year and if all you have ever made is microwave pizzas, you are in big trouble.
Pizza making is time consuming. And you are on your feet alot. Alot of pizza business don't make it off the ground because of varying reasons.
Stick to opening a restaurant that you can actually cook the food.
If you are applying for a position they can teach you.

i managed a pizza parlor for years.
first of all if you don't have experience in the kitchen, chances are you will not get hired.
if i was hiring i would not hire you for pizza maker, maybe a delivery boy but that's it, how old are you?
if you are under 16 in most states you aren't even aloud near ovens or walk in refrigerators.
also, dough is made from scratch, and it get very hot in kitchens.
do your self a favor and find a new job.
you will like it better if you do a job you know and like.
