Listen to your music in your own room, because its annoying if people are forced to listen to a kind of music that they dont like. This goes both ways, your mom doesnt have to listen to your music and you dont have to listen to her music. However, if you are under her roof, you do have to follow some of your mom's house rules - and when you are outside of the house, how could anyone police what you listen to ?

Well just play it very low or listen to it in your headphones. I know you would rather hear it played way up loud because I like my music loud too for some reason but just try that.

Give her time.Hip hop is evolving and we see/hear it more often now in commercials,fashion design, sports, promotions, you name it. It has a bad rep for being gangsta and hard core but not all of the music is that way.

if you live in your Moms house you should not play music she hates that she has to hear........
if you wear headphones and she cant hear it...you both should be happy....:)
