In most states, once an investigation is complete, especially an accident investigation, the report becomes public record. You can ask the local Sheriff's Dept. if the reports are considered public record and if they are, just file a Freedom of Information Act form to get a copy. If you were a party in the accident all you have to do is ask for a copy from the investigiating agency and they will give it to you (for whatever fee they might charge). The only thing that might hold you up from getting a copy is if the investigation is still open.

You need to be more specific. Do you mean as far as the law goes (fines, jail time, etc.,) or about that accident that occured on Aug. 16, 2006?

Can you get a copy of the police report? Or go to the library in that town and ask to see information from the local newspapers.
