how much would a monkey cost just curious. and if anyone has one are they good pets?

They are NOT good pets. They are sold for anywhere from $1500 to $30 000, and a lot of them are black market sales, which means they were ripped away from their mothers way too young and that alone can lead to trouble. They are more time consuming than a toddler, they'll tear up your house, sling poop all over everything, masturbate in front of company aso, aso.
It's hard to find a vet to take care of them and if you do it's expensive. You cannot leave them for long and you certainly cannot keep them caged all the time either. They get really cranky as they approach maturity and most of them bite, HARD!!!

Monkey's should NOT BE MADE INTO PETS!! They should be left in the wild where they belong! They are cute when they are little...just like any animal. But a monkey will grow up to be much stronger than you. My dad's friend had a squirell monkey as a pet that he found in the woods behind their house (no joke, this was back in the 70's) and the monkey ripped off another friends ear because it just got into a mood one day. They are unpredictable and dangerous! They are priceless animals that shouldn't be taken out of the wild!

Im wondering this also.. i would love to have a monkey as a pet. Treat it as a real baby :))
