"They said" does not interpret as "It's true", please!!!

"From Ask The Dietician:
The question is: Does eating Jell-O strengthen your nails? Is this a question you might be able to answer?

Eating Jell-O (gelatin is the basic ingredient) or unflavored gelatin does not strengthens nails. Nails are composed of protein with a high sulfur content. All protein you eat is broken down and circulates in your body protein pool (as amino acids) that is used to build and repair muscles, organs and other protein structures like hair and nails. (By the way, excess protein is stored as body fat.)"

Also, from Parade.com:

"Myth: Gelatin strengthens nails.
Fact: The protein in food is what strengthens fingernails—not gelatin. That’s because fingernails consist of protein with high sulfur content. Dietary protein is broken down into amino acids, which circulate throughout the body and repair muscles, organs and other structures, such as the hair and nails. "

So, just because they say so, don't mean it is so . . . sorry!!

On the other hand, I've noticed that mine grow best during summer, which I swear is due to vitamin D from the sun! And Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Nail Polish is the hardest stuff out there to keep my nails strong -- I've even worn the letters off my keyboard at work!!

Try the last link below for tips on good care for your fingernails, as well. Good luck!

well the short answer is yes...the slight explanation is that jello is made out of gelatin which is made out of the hooves of animals namely horses and the chemical make up is the same/similar to the make up of our nails so more of the chemical in the body makes your nails grow but if you really want your nails and hair to grow smoke pot studies have shown that for some reason marijuana increases nail and hair growth like 2-10 times the normal rate.

It doesn't make your nails grow, it strengthens them. Years ago a product was on the market- still is I think- called Knox Gelatin. Their selling point was stronger nails. My dad worked for the company that sold Knox.
Hope this helps and have a great day!!!

It will make them more resistent to breaking because of the geletin. Whether or not they grow faster, I dont think so, but they could get longer without breaking!
