I want to build my own computer, I have a tower, I have a cd/dvd drive, screen, keyboard etc.... the only problem is choosing a good internal hard drive, one that will support my entertainment system ... it doesn't have to be elite... I want one with a good price and enough memory.

What I did grow to be offered a junker off an auction website and filled it with drives to apply as a server (2TB). fee me under $3 hundred (for the junker). you're greater advantageous off with only onechronic interior the device except they're each and each of an identical velocity / length (so which you would be able to RAID). it fairly is fairly as much as you, yet once you fairly choose overall performance, stick to onechronic, and locate yet another storage answer to your music, video, photographs records - or 2+ same suited drives (with distinctive lot #'s) striped. do in no way mixchronic sizes.

I would go with a Western Digital. Probably above 100 gigs. Try to stick with 7200rpm and you can get ones with an 8 meg buffer in just about all sizes. That should handle anything you need very quickly.
