I have a swimming pool. Two hours, after I clean the filter, the pressure is up to 15 or 20! Why is this? Why does the pressure going up so fast? I have alge in the pool! billyno12@yahoo.com

This is because a clean filter allows flow at a lower pressure loss than does a dirty one. The dirt over time plugs the filter lowering the flow and increasing the pressure loss. Since this is happening so fast, it sounds as so your pool is still pretty dirty.

Backwash for two minutes, then Rinse for 15 seconds. Do this once for sand filter and repeat three times for DE filters. If that doesn't help, then you need to replace the sand or the DE.

Did you try backwashing?
