Why are the things in Quicktime form, showing a Big Q with a ? through it?

I recently downloaded the newer version of Internet Explorer. Now I can't play certain games, because it will show a big Q with a ? in the middle. I've redownloaded Quicktime & plug-ins & even shockwave & flash players. It still won't work. Any other suggestions? Link to the exact site where what I need to d/l would be appreciated. Thanx ahead of time!

Check for updates for your newer version of ie, there are quite an few.
