theoretically.

But no one has done it.

In theory, yes, scientists say that if you make some DNA up by taking the tissue from the human body and make a human embryo and inject it with sperm and then inject the egg into an healthy, female adult. Then the egg, (if the procedure is done correctly) should grow like a baby that was conceived naturally.

However, no one has done this in humans yet, the tests on cloning have only been on animals like Dolly the sheep.

It's possible to create genetically identical human beings, but not to just zap a copy of someone into existence. The duplicate would only be a cluster of cells, whether we could grow those into a full human is still the challenge.

Personally I'd be in favour of a world-wide 'Seventh Day' law that would limit such activities though. It would cause too many problems in the long run, although custom organs for transplant would be a very useful offshoot technology.

If they succeded to clone animals why not being posssible to make a clone of humans? But it seems scary and weird to think that we aren't unique anymore and there is a possibility of making inummerable items resembling humans at any point in time.

Yes, it is a definite possibility and I wouldn't be surprised if there is someone doing it in secret right now. They have done it with mammals already so it can definitely happen. I really hope it doesn't though, because that is very scary and there are already so many people suffering in the world today, that we really don't need to be cloning people.

I don't see why it shouldn't be . . . we've cloned sheep, mice, cats, and other animals after all, we could do the same thing with humans if we could get a volunteer. The question is, why? We already have more than enough humans in the world.

Yes it is possible, but would be against the law as it stands in the UK. UK scientists have agreed NOT to clone a human.

In theory, yes; but its not that simple.
Remember how animals clones were going to revolutionise farming with large numbers of top quality livestock? And all we got was Dolly the Sheep, who died early from a heart problem. It turns out that clones have wierd problems. Most of them never develop properly and die before birth. Those that survive birth have an exceptionally high death rate, because they just don't form and develop properly.
There were thousands of embryos, but only one Dolly.

Yes, some mad cult claims to have done it 2 years ago, but it has never been proved.

Theoretically it can be done in the same way dolly the sheep was cloned.

I'm sure it would be possible, but I doubt it would be very successful. There are so many things humans have that I doubt clones would be able to have. For example, intelligence, moral values, a conscious, would it be able to speak?

With all those factors to consider, I'd hate to see what the finished result would look like.

Do you mean "Are human clones possible?"

If so, yes - we are very little different from all our animal cuosins.
