I've noticed in the game "Pokemon Colosseum", there is an in-battle featured deemed "Call". What does it do, and what is its purpose?

If a PoKeMoN enters hyper mode (from using Shadow Rush too much), call might snap them out of it. When they return to normal, their shadow guage lowers considerably. If you don't mind using up a turn, try to get your PoKeMoN into hyper mode so you can snap them out of it. It speeds up the purification process.
The call command also wakes up a PoKeMoN affected with the sleep condition.

The main purpose of the Call function is to get a shadow Pokemon that is in a rage to come to its senses. I think you can also wake up a sleeping pokemon that way too, but I'm not sure.
