Why are people lacking in such basic courtesy as to ignore someone's desire to pass them on the highway? Why do people go below, or even at, the speed limit in the left lane? That is possibly my biggest pet peeve with stupid drivers. Why don't these people realize that the left lane is for passing? It's for faster drivers so either get out of that lane or speed up.
Ok...I'm done ranting against stupid people on the road for now.

i also wonder this. i think it's some sort of sick game that people driving along boring highways play- piss of the passer- and it keeps them from falling asleep. i know for a fact that some people pull up to another car on a two-lane, and drive the same speed for exactly that purpose. mostly it's just revenge upon some jerk- but why not extend the enragement to include innocent speeders as well?

Considering it's probably been several years since drivers on the road went to driver's ed. they probably forget their instructions about such things. The right lane is for slower cars, the middle lane is for general traffic and the left is for passing.
It's also alarming how millions and millions of people who have their license have forgotten this and I don't even have my permit yet.

I feel your pain, believe me I do. I think they just do it to annoy, that's all. I don't even bother with them anymore I'll just change lanes and pass them up instead of allowing myself to get upset by them. Now, I only get irritated by them if I can't pass them and they still refuse to get over.

there going to Chicago and they are going slow because they know driving like that there will get them killed. I hate it and they are causes hate because they love war and discontent...these people are the reason for a lot of our problems...that got a wedgie up the crack of their butt and want to take it out on everyone else

That is my single biggest driving peeve too.
well, that and the fact people tend to forget they are driving at least a ton of lethal killing machine as they yap on their cell phones, put on their makeup, etc.

Because they don't know any better. No one ever taught them to move over if there is faster traffic behind them. IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU SHOULD READ THE MANUAL AT THE DMV.
