His disgruntled self is finally out of Denver and will be, hopefully, Vicks # 1 target besides Alge Crumpler. Am I wishful thinking?

He is gonna be the number 3 receiver to start the season, but I think he could move up to number 1 or 2 by week 4 or 5. He is the type of receiver Vick needs, vertical, big play wr. Unfortunately he his an every down WR, he'll play every down, but doesn't put out effort every down. He's worth picking up if you are weak at WR.

I'm not sold yet on lelie being a good pick up and here are some the reasons. Reason one he was a headache in Denver were he played well and was given every chance to succed but due to lack of either talent or effort could not secure the number one recieving position. Reason two do you really think that he'll do that much better in Atlanta with Micheal Vick who is still a run first pass second quarterback, as were in Denver Jake the Snake had finally become a probowl caliber player(was robed last year should of went) who is capable of waiting in the pocket and delivery the ball. Reason three if Price wanted out of Atlanta due to lack of balls being thrown his way what do you think Lelie will be doing but the end of the season. So to answer your question I would have to say no.

I think that his self confidence will be shot after playing with Vick. Nothing worse than a guy who thinks he's a number one, but should be a number 3 (see: Peerless). Crumpler is going to get 60% of the throws to himself, leaving not many passes to Jenkins and White, much less Lelie. The ones that do come his way will be too high, too short, or off the mark. Since he is the #3, he is last for Vick to check down to and we all know that Vick doesn't throw the ball well while on the run. Hell, he doesn't throw on the run because he's busy running....

Bring in Schaub.

Yeah thats wishful thinking. I do not have enough confidence in Vicks arm to make Lelie a real good fantasy pick up this year. Vick has been an underachiever since day one. Each year we hear about how Vick will be stronger in the pocket and will improve the passing game so much. It hasnt happened yet and I think we would be dumb to think it will ever happen. Vick is an explosive player, but the relatively new trend of scrambling quarterbacks seems to be just that to me, a trend. I know how successful scrambling quarterbacks have been and continue to be in college football (Vince Young is another example) but I just do not think that it translates over to the NFL. How far as any team gotten in the NFL with a scramble first, pass second type of player like Vick? Lets not fool ourselves, it is scramble first, pass second. That is why he has this job. If you take Vick's running ability away and just leave a guy with average quarterback speed and Vick's arm, he'd be a third stringer somewhere.

Is Lelie going to be really successful as a fantasy player this year? No. Is that because of Lelie? No. A receiver is only ever as good as his quarterback, especially when it comes to fantasy football. Lelie is a great receiver who, I believe, has a bit of untapped talent. He is a guy who has shown alot of promise and upside. If he were in Seattle, or Miami, or even Green Bay I'd take him in a heart beat, but as it is he is in Atlanta, which as long as Michael Vick is around, is going to suffocate his talent.

Lelie is a #3 on that team, #4 if you count Crumpler. The falcons already have a burner in roddy white who also has much more upside. Add in the fact that Vick can't run an offense and Lelie just plain sucks at football, and he is a horrible pickup.

Don't let anyone tell you he'll be the Falcons #1...He is their #3 and will only move up if their is an injury. They already said he's primarily going to be used to help stretch the Def. to open up the middle more for Crumpler to get open. He'll probably only get two or three looks a game on an average and don't forget, Vick sucks at the deep ball...he has no touch and never has!

Depends on what you have on yor team now. Lelie will start out as #3 with the Falcons. And we all know that Vick doesn't throw all that much. I would leave him on the waiver wire unless you have some dead weight to drop, but keep an eye on him.

Yes you are...
He doesnt play like a number one target...
He is very similar to Peerless Price except that Peerless was awesome in Buffalo when he was #2 behind Moulds. Peerless didnt pan out in ATL.
Lelie is no threat, even as a #2 behind Rod Smith. How is he going to carry the load of a #1 when he is not even a good #2. The Falcons are pretty desperate at this point.

He's a decent pick up, but being Vick's #1 is like being Manning's #5
