Ok, coragryph, perhaps phrased badly, but meant to be a bit satirical. Good answer, thanks, and my point entirely.

To smitty031, I didn't say anything about republicans, you did, funny you thought of it.

Thanks Dave B., my point as well. And we can change when we are given new information if we know how to think in the first place.

Serious question. Serious answer. Should we let the church (any) the government, and I would add the news media, do our thinking for us? I fear most people do. Many, if not most read, listen too and believe what is told them primarily from the sources that they already agree with. Thus, not listen to other sides of any issue. Many people accept the dogma from their church, the rhetoric from the government (right and left) and determine their beliefs based on sound bites and entertainment "news". I try to look a little deeper at both sides. By doing so, does not make me an air head willing to change my core beliefs on any given issue, but makes me modify my beliefs continually based on the information garnered. I believe that anyone who has never changed their opinion on something, does not think but simply regurgitates what is told them . Got a little of track. To answer your question: Sad to say, but some people haven't earned the right. Oh boy am I going to get it for that.

Free thinking is in danger !!!!1

They are the Illuminatis, and they own us,
This is the New World Order, and it is your future if the world don't wake up :

And this is what Bush’s minions had to say in 2000;-
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor"
Project for the New American Century (2000)

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
David Rockefeller: Statement to the United Nations Business Council in September 1994

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with other around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefellers memoirs (2002)

Make you investigations about Jesuits, the New World Order, the Illuminatis, the Free-Masonery, the Death Clan. They plan a world reduction of population of 80%...Far worse than Hitler...

They are preparing us for 2012, for the New Age, of Relelations, and the return of « God » from Nibiru.

“the zenith meridian at Giza runs through Jupiter at the Hyades in Taurus”, this means “the kingdom (Jupiter) will be restored to Egypt (Taurus) at that precise moment. Thus, Osiris, the Bull of Egypt, will return from the dead at 22:18:13 on December 21, 2012.” El Cairo time.

Should we LET them?

As in, "or should we prevent them"? Which defeats the entire purpose.

People are going to make their own choices. Some will choose blindly, doing what they're told. Some will choose poorly, because they don't put in the effort to make an informed decision.

And many will choose in ways that we don't like. But if the decision is theirs, made rationally and through informed understanding of the issue, we need to respect it even if we disagree with it.

But it's never our place in a free society to tell people whether they are allowed to think for themselves or not.

So as a man thinks in his heart so is he. So if he thinks in an immoral way he is immoral. If he thinks in a disbelieving way he is a disbeliever.
America was founded on Christian principles because the ones who came her knew the truth of the Word of God and wanted to live in a land that embraced the Truth.
While one man should never think for you, you make choices whether they are wrong or right and one day you will answer for them. And you will be without excuse and there will be consequences for your actions if you make the wrong choices.
I choose to abide by the laws of the land unless they go against the Word of God or endanger my family.

Problem is that " I see dumb people ", who can't or would be dangerous to let them .Then on top of it you've got the people who turn dangerous from listening too litterally to governments and religions.

Oh NOOOOOooooo.... Pulleeezzzeeee.... don't let me think for myself... It's so much easier to have the church and GEEZUS think for me than to use my brain... because thinking makes my brain hurt and when I gave my life over to GEEZUS I promised to never make another decision but to let him make those decisions for me.

Thank you for asking, however... but I think I'll pass... I'm really happy in my ignorance.
