lieberman got voted out for being too conservative in a very liberal state... it's democracy... too bad all the Republicans are crying about it...
and oh, I'm sure lieberman was the ONLY one with morals... that's not a horribly naive view/generalization of the entire democratic party in congress... hahaha...
and the other HILARIOUS thing is that they talk about "how bad dems are with lieberman" then turn around and act the EXACT same way with McCain in their own party... can they not see the blatant hypocrisy?
Jesi: how is losing an election not democracy? that's the essence of democracy... having an election to find a candidate? that's how you define it? it's like saying breathing has nothing to do with oxygen?

They are misguided and must be treated with more respect then being called dumb. You must show empathy towards them because name calling puts you down to their level. Consider for one minute that the Dems had all the power in our government and they started to run a muck, and they would too. Any one party that has all the majorities will go do the same thing the Republicans are doing right now so let just make that clear. The Dems would have you fooled too, because there was a time where the Republicans were more trustworthy then they are right now and that is what people are holding on too. Hell the people running our White House are not even Republican in the true sense. They are corporatist Neo Conservatives that have taking control of our government. We must try and reach the misguided Republicans with a helping hand and understanding and compromise. Otherwise what will we accomplish through our name calling and further separation between parties. We are all American that have been taking over by a Fascist Regime. The time to step up is now. Believe me that we are the only thing that scares the government. We are the only hope for the future because the Neo Cons do not want us in the picture. Every time a new millionaire is made 50 middle class people get wiped out. Our Democracy is fading away and we are calling each other names.

Get this...Joe Leiberman is LEADING in a poll released last week. He's got like a three point edge over Ned Lamont. The Republican nominee hardly has the support of his family & friends. He's WAY back in the polls.
I also think it would be Democracy at it's finest if Lieberman wins re-election. I don't agree with some of his views (I don't live in Connecticut, but I'm more with Lamont), but someone losing his party's endorsement, then running on his own and winning? There's a story for the books.
Most Republicans will probably vote for Lieberman, just to anger the Democrats. Some Democrats will vote for Lieberman, because they support him and have for a long time. And the Independents, which I believe are the MAJORITY of voters in Connecticut, will vote for Lieberman because he was firm enough in his beliefs to leave his party and strike it out on his own.
Short story, Lieberman wins, unless everybody has a sudden change of heart.

I think both leaders of Republican party, and Democrat party leaders, Bush and Kerry, are both Skull and Bone members. It don't matther who win, they win.It is all well planned.
They are the Illuminatis, and they own you,
This is the New World Order, and it is your future if the world don't wake up :
And this is what Bush’s minions had to say in 2000;-
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor"

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with other around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefellers memoirs (2002)

Joe Lieberman's defeat in running for the Democratic party nomination has nothing to do with democracy, and everything to do with punishing those who do not act in lockstep with the party as the party dictates.
The voter's didn't decide to have a run off election, the party decided to "bring it to a vote."
And as unfunny as your trite "you're fired" comment is, that is exactly what the democratic party said to him because he represents his constituancy AND NOT the Connecticut State Democratic Party.
The reason that Republicans care at all about the liberal Senator Lieberman is because he resisted all attempts at bullying him out of his position and fought not just the other candidate, but the state democratic party and their libelous advertizing. The Democratic party doesn't want representatives of the people, they want representatives of their agenda.

I think what irritates conservatives to no end, concerning the loss of Lieberman, in his bid for congressional seat, was that fact that someone who thought like them didn’t get elected on the opposition’s side. HELLO…it is called the OPPOSITION for a reason! Please, conservatives, expand your vocabulary beyond that of your Commander and Chief’s. Democrats are not supposed to have the same position on things as Republicans, especially concerning such seminal issues as war. That is why they are a DIFFERENT party. It is why they are called the OPPOSITION. They are supposed to hold to platforms that are DIFFERENT than yours. For those redneck conservatives, I hope my usage of big kindergarten like lettering helped explicate the nuances in the term OPPOSITION.
The truth of the matter is much of the popularity that the Republican Party has been enjoying for the last 6 years relates to the homogeneity of our political landscape. Democrats, after 9/11, have bent over backwards to appease conservative voters, thus moving them so far to the center that they became indistinguishable from conservatives. This politically deadly form of appeasement, not only caused many of their traditional supports to be disillusioned by them, but it also made those who were ambivalent toward either party see the Democrats as weak and spineless. The Republicans, of course reaped the benefits of this politically cowardly trend. Now they are offended because Democrats are finally starting to distinguish themselves again. Kudos to the Democrats for trying to reclaim some of their former glory.

NO... I can believe any level of stupidity from people who believe that a Jew, who has been dead for 2000 years, knows how to run America better than our elected congress.
Personally, I am sick and tired of GEEZUS running the country and the President taking his orders from some non-elected Religious Right zealots in washington.

Typical democrat, if people don't agree with you, right away they're wrong. Why discuss anything with you? You've already made up your mind. You've asked a question and answered it yourself! By the way your mentality leaves much to be desired. Grow up!!
