Sanskrit is an Ancient Language from India. All the other Indian languages have been derived from India. It is one of the most ancient language.

According to wikipedia, it's spoken in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and some other areas of South and Southeast Asia; many Buddhist scholars in the countries of East Asia such as China, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam are also able to communicate in Sanskrit.

Sanskrit is not spoken any more. It is the ancient language of India. But a lot of languages have taken things from sanskrit like ancient greek. Ancient greek gave a lot of things to roman language and roman language to other languages like italian, spanish and french.German language has also taken things from ancient greek and from roman.English too.

sanskrit is an indo-european root language from which other languages are derived (i.e. a dead language). it's derivatives can be found on the indian subcontinent.

i think rarely in INDIA although it is the oldest language of india and urdu is the mixture of sanskrit hindi and persian
