...that drugs can sometimes be good in accordance to art? eg. Van Gogh, Jimmy Hendrix etc?

Kurt Cobain didn't die from a drug overdose, and yes I would say sometimes drugs can help art. Louis Armstrong smoked pot everyday. Van Gogh was crazy, that probably had a lot to do with his art, there is a fine line between genius and insanity

No. Drugs are never good period. People like Jimmie Hendrix were addicts and you'll recall he died from an overdose. Ditto for Jim Morrison, Janice Joplin, Curt Cobain, and a long list of others. Van Gogh wa sthought to have lead poisioning from the paint he used (licking the end of the brush).

yup . in a way that it is. some writers, singers, models and even artists do their best when elated. its all about knowng your limit . personally , in my opinion that is
