I have the first pick in a snake draft plus it's a keeper league. My keepers are Rudi Johnson, Tiki Barber, and Chris Chambers, most of the other big names are gone.
So, should I draft Tory Holt (probably the best all around player left) with my first pick or should I grab the best RB left and hope for leftovers when it's my turn(s) again?

Never been in a keeper league myself, so the obvious first piece of advice is to eliminate all the "kept" players from consideration. Having said that, I would still go with the tried and true strategy of going for running backs first; I don't personally think Barber will have the year this year that he had last year. After going there, if you can get one of the top 3 or 4 tight ends, I would go that direction, but if you can't, revert back to the "best athlete (or scorer in this case) on the board" concept.

First thing, David Ortiz will win the MVP, not Jeter....

Now that that's aside, I'm agreeing with drunk on the fact that Holt is still a great recevier with a few good years left...

You do have to remember that Bulger has targets as well in Isaac Bruce and Kevin Curtis, but the majroity of all throws should be Holt's way...Watch Stephen Jackson and if he fails to produce, it's back to the step-back and throw it offense that St. Louis always used to use, which = more TD's for Holt

This is pretty much my order. 1. Best available player (QB RB WR) 2. RB is I didn't get one yet otherwise best QB or WR 3. Get the position I didn't get yet out of the three 4. RB 5. WR 6. TE 7. Defense 8. Backup QB 9. RB 10.WR 11. Kicker 12. Whatever I need and so on....

Go with Holt. He is still an elite WR and he still has a few really good years left. Sounds like you are off to a good start. I like to see women involed with Fantasy Football, it's Sexy! Good luck!
