Not sure what you mean. It's gone on for years? And you had no clue? Start out by offering a sincere apology to the recepient of your terror. Then decide to forgive yourself. If they have been going on for years taking whatever it is that you've been dishing out; never saying anything to you, then what could you have done? No one said ANYTHING to you? Not a word? Then I guess your behavior couldn't have been that horrible or I'd think someone would have said something! So, you didn't, couldn't know...why torture yourself now?
You have learned a lesson about how your actions can affect others. This lesson is one that will help you become a better, more compassionate adult. After apologizing to the person who was hurt by you, learning that lesson is the best way to redeem yourself.

Guilt is like a sack of bricks, you just have to set them down and walk on. You are sorry obvioulsly you have told the person you are sorry if you believe in Jesus you tell him ask for forgivness and then you let it go. Because you are not helping anyone by being guilty you are only making what ever you did worse. Please stop feeling bad, it will only desrtoy you and your family. If the person you hurt cant forgive you then that is their problem and it is sad but theres nothing you can do about it. I will say it is eaisier said then done, I have guilt also and it is only making everyone hurt worse and making me older then my years. just love yourself because if Jesus can forgive you then you should be able to . so should every one else. Hate kills.

Yeah,
I think the best way to stop feeling guilty is taking a deep breath.
As for me, I really don't like to make mistakes. And when i do,
i try to avoid making the same mistake again. So it kind of helps
feel better.
An apology to all the people who i have been hurting over the years.

Well, the only thing you can do is try to do better from now on. Say sorry, but remember actions speak louder than words. As for hurting them for years. They should have taken that power from you a long time ago. You were not responsible for the way they felt then and you aren't now. You are accountable for your actions, but not to any person but yourself and God.

first guilt comes from Jesus-and its good even though its bad-except false guilt-from the other side
to 1st make sure you asked Jesus into your heart to forgive that sin and all others will go to-and let him help u do better-and be your friend to help you go to the person and sincerly appologize not i did wrong but u ___, have the greatest day ever in the peace and joy of Jesus-i had to go to several people after i let Jesus into my heart-and for the most part it made things better than ever-then pick friends that have Jesus first in their lives too =the same God-its important.

Guilt is one of the most horrible feelings. Talk to the person you hurt if possible. If they wont talk to you do this. Write a letter to yourself, telling what you did and how you feel. Then mail it to you. You might just be surprised at how you feel then.

Make a promise to yourself that you won't do what makes you feel guilty ever again. My prayers are with you. I've felt the same way before. A conscience can be a terrible thing. But it can also remind us of our faults and make us better.

I don't think you ever really get over the guilt. All you can do is try to make it up for them and hope it's not too late.

you may not be able to. it's part of life. what you can do is attempt to compensate whoever you have hurted. remember, only the present exists. u can correct in the present anything which was not right in the past.
the other option is ignoring and being cold, but i think from what u described u are well aware and sensitive of what happened.
just remember, u are not alone feeling that way, and things can change, u have the strength to make them change.
