tape record her one day when she doesn't know it. then play it back to her. she'll hear herself and if she cares at all she'll probably get disgusted. the sound is just unreal! it's horrible but people who run their mouth like that don't usually hear how awful it is...until they hear themselves. it's nasty...try recording her and have her listen to how she sounds. if that doesn't work then GOD help her.

I have one too. Straight up told her she can't come over because of her mouth - not going to expose my kids to it. She didn't get it, but I have to mention it again every now and then. I've told her I have a hard time listening because there's so much profanity I lose track of the conversation and often miss what she's talking about....she's mid 40s and i'm a bit younger. I swear to but not nearly as much and not inappropriately, I hope. Asked my friend finally is she has tourettes - she said she doesn't think so but some Dr told her she probably does. I'd believe it but it's not uncontrollable - it's just constant.
Call her on it. Tell her how you feel. Friends should listen.

People use swear words out of context all the time. I was taught that you should only use them when the time is appropriete, which according to my mom never is.

It is sad when we can not communicate without profanity. It makes people look ugly. Old saying "Pretty is as pretty does" It doesn't matter how pretty you are when you open your mouth and ugly comes out, you are not so pretty anymore.
