If Women can rule or run other countries, why can't we have a female president? Don't respond if you watch commander in cheif because that is a show, this question is about what would it be like in real life. Girls, do you really want a guy to tell you what you can and can not do for the rest of your natural lives?

I never said anything about non-white males. Sure it would be a fine idea to not have a white president. But it could be man or woman.

Why can't we? Because middle America doesn't seem ready to elect a woman. Sad but true. Too many people buy into the premise that a woman is too emotional, a married woman will be controlled by her husband, a woman isnt able to make the tough decisions, a man should never let a woman "lead" him, blah blah blah.

I honestly think it can happen, but we have to face the reality of the matter. We are a country run by the majority stronghold. And when I say that I mean we are run by White men. Let me correct that, we are run by old white conservative men who have an ideology about the way things should be. And when they are in control they usually stay in control along with their ideologies. And a majority of the time their ideologies are very archaic and hackneyed. With that type of influence permeating the country it becomes very arduous to try to bring a different paradigm to the stage and all other efforts remain as futile as the next.
I think anyone who is qualified or who has been deemed qualified can run this country. They just need the chance. I mean wow we gave the Terminator a chance why not a minority or a woman.

Actually watching Commander and Chief may get Americans used to the idea of a woman president.

To your question about female rulers: A female president would be fine, if she were the best candidate for the job.
As for the "guy to tell you..." comment/question: This rings of sexism itself. Which your first question seemed to point out as wrong. Yes, a man or a woman president would have to lead both sexes.

A peace loving president (who uses deodorant) will be a good thing for the USA, weather a man or a woman. As long as it is a peace loving person (who uses deodorant, unlike Hitlery Clinton).

Give it time. I am sure that someday it will happen. There is no reason to object to a person based on gender. Skill is required. The skill to run a team as a team. As of late, that has been lacking in the nation.

Anyone who doesn't think that we'll have a non-white male in the White House in this lifetime is living in a dream world.

i do unlike all of them (i'm one). yet atheists as a universal rule do no longer misunderstand gravely substantial issues coping with existence in the international on purpose and then bypass attempt to tension all people else to stay by ability of those willfully misunderstood suggestions enacted in rules. They deserve appreciate for that. in addition they understand the a number of between inflicting issues in genuine existence for people and coming to an internet site to offer critiques that others won't like. they do no longer reason people in genuine existence issues, issues which could influence their entire experience in this planet, and then bypass to an internet site to whinge, "Why you so meeeeeean?" They deserve appreciate for those priorities. additionally, atheists have not got a rule to no longer choose others, so a query like that's wonderful for them and different non Christians to respond to. Christians answering this question heavily (judging) could flog themselves.
