I have a dell c600 and a docking station ii. I want to put in a graphics card into the docking station, but i heard that you can't have a graphics card with a latitude c600. I also heard that you need an external moneter if you do have a graphics card. If so, could i use a tv as a monter? Thanks in advance!

No, yes, and maybe....
I have never tried a video card in the docking station, so not sure about how it would work. But if it would, it would ONLY work on an external monitor, as the internal one is cabled directly to the motherboard's video card.

Can you run a TV on it? Only if the video card you purchase as an RCA or S-Video output, and the TV has the matching input. Or you would have to run the signal through a VCR.

But...if what you want is to display video from a C600 to a TV, you are in luck. On the right side of the laptop, next to the network connector, is a round port with serveral pin holes in it. That is an S-video connector. You can connect a cable from that port to your TV and get video on the television. Run a second audio cable from the headset jack to the TV for sound.

Be warned that the picture is so-so at best.
