Jamie's parents are Brooke and Tad, and J.R.'s are Dixie and Adam. Is there any biological relationship, or just that they grew up together?

They just grew up together. When JR was growing up he lived with Tad and Dixie. Since Tad is Jamie's father he was there alot also. JR hated Adam and considered Tad his true father until the baby-swapping storyline. As Jamie and JR grew up they just considered each other brothers and it is very seldom mentioned in the show that they are not technically related. They now have Kate in common though.

Some time ago, Tad was married to Dixie and Adam was married to Brooke. So, they're step-brothers.

No biological realtionship, they're stepbrothers. Dixie married Tad at one point so they grew up together.

They are basiclly step brothers cause dixie and tead were married and wen they were married tead started to let jamie and jr spend time together like brothers
