I took 1 pill of Advil yesterday for neck pain and just realized today that I might have increased risk of miscarriage by 80%. I am freeking out. All the studies indicate that it's sure thing and that I am at very high risk. Could I be pregnant for up to 3 months and then miscarry or would this happen relatively quickly...Can anyone comment on this?

i don't think one advil would cause you to miscarry, and the fact that you are at a high risk for a misscarriage should tell you first of all to calm down, take a deep breath and relax, the last thing you want to do is stress yourself out. that is the worst thing for you right now. keep talking with your ob, find out what they think about the advil and ask them all the questions you can and as calmly as you can. unfortunatly miscarriages happen and sometimes there is nothing we can do about them. i have had three and i know what you are goign through. like i said though keep in touch with your ob and let them know if you don't feel like something is right. you will be fine.

no you will be fine and so will the baby. I was 5 months pregnant with my second son be for I had realized it and took advil everyday until I found out and he was fine. Just make sure that from now on you only take Tylenol and only take it when you can't stand the headache or whatever else is ailing you any more. Don't worry, stress can be worse than that one little pill.CONGRATS on the baby!

No sweetie you are gonna be just fine I broke my ribs right before i found out that i was pregnant and i took 8 advil at a time and 3 or 4 at other times im 36 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. Either call your doctor and let them know or at your next appointment tell them so they can inform you more. Good Luck!

Don't worry! The warnings for Advil are for higher doses. If only one pill could cause a miscarriage, you would definitely not be able to buy Advil over the counter.
Just remember to stick to Tylenol or get a recommendation from your doctor next time.

You're not going to miscarry by taking one Advil.
Just chillax. You're fine. Just make sure next time you have some pain to take a Tylenol instead. :)

No I think you are ok this time. Just don't take anymore. You will be fine though.I took ibprofen before I knew I was pregnant and nothing has happened to me. My baby is fine.
