This happens most of the time, but not every time. Any ideas on why this is happening? The screen and pointer just freeze. I regularly do a virus scan on it and defragment my hard drive etc. Thanks!

That has happened to me a fair few times, the way i resolved it is by doing virus checks...you will find that it discovers a fair few critical errors....so do that - it worked for me

I had a problem with my computer doing something similar. My powersource was not working properly the voltage was either too low or would spike. This burned out one of my fans. The fan being out caused my video card to get to hot and finally give up all together. I would suggest taking your computer to best buy or some other computer place that can test your computer and find the problem. A lot of places don't charge you just to find out what the problem is.

i think it has to do something with some corrupt device drivers on the computer which make it behave this way , it can be an external device like a USB HDD or something like ur video card hard to pin point that !!

u'll need to notice when all it happens and is there any triggering settings like the removing attaached devices ( external)

a bit of trial and error that's it !
