Obviously if your asking this then not having sex isn't an option becuase you already made up your mind to do it. Depo isn't all that good, it has a lot of bad side affects. I have 3 choices #1 is definately condoms, they prevent getting pregnant and a whole lot of others things that ppl are transmitting now, and #2 is birth control pills, they work great and regualte your period also making sure you take them on time everyday helps you become a more responsible person, and finally #3 is #'s 1&2 together. Whatever your choice just make sure that you stay safe and protected!!!!

#1. Abstinence!

#2. Or, you could go to a Gynecologist and discuss the best options for you. These days there are a variety of ways to practice birth control. One of those might be perfect for you and your lifestyle.

If you are a child, and I mean emotionally, whether you have lived a long time or not, please see #1

Well, i started out with the patch, it worked for a while but then it started falling off in the shower or when i would go swimming and it was hard to stick back on. Plus, you can only stick it on four places on ur body, your arm, your butt, the front of your abdomen or on your shoulder. This was bad for me because if i wanted to wear a tank top, they would see some big ugly patch on my arm, if i wanted to wear cute underwear for my boyfriend, you would either see it on the front of me, or on my butt, and if i wanted to go swimming or wear a tube top, the patch was on the back of my shoulder blade. I switched to the Nuva Ring. Its a tiny ring that you push together and insert into your vagina. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. My boyfriend cant feel it during sex, it doesnt fall out, i can shower, swim, i can do whatever with the nuva ring. And instead of switching every week with the patch, or remembering to take a pill at the same time everyday, the nuva ring, you keep in for 3 weeks, then take out for one week which is the week you are supposed to start your period, and then put it back in after that week for another 3 weeks, and the cycle continues. I would definatly suggest the nuva ring, and once you try it, you'll understand why! good luck!

There are no good ways of birth control.
Condoms aren't 100%
Pills depo etc. mess up your hormones.
IUD can cause other problems like interuterine scarring, excessive bleeding, and general discomfort.
Foams, gels, and diaphragms, don't work that well.
"Pulling Out" yeah right, that's gonna happen in time.
Timing your cycle with taking basal body temp, good in theory but sperm can remain viable for 3 days, and your BBT increases after ovulation.
Abstinance, like that's really an option for most.
Best way: use multiple methods at one time, Timing, pulling out, and condoms, etc.

Best and most effective are different. Birth control pills are the best if you are planning on have sex. How ever please use condoms to protect yourself from the many bad things you can get from some else besides a baby.

Its still the pill, however you need to use a condom if you have multiple sex partners, or your partner had multiple ones.
Also with the condom use spermicide and then you are sure not to get pregnant and are protected from aids or other STD's.
