I was on the pill for 17 years. When I went off, my periods were still regular, but the bleeding gradually got heavier and I got cramps. So basically, my body went back to it's natural state. After I had my daughter, my OB put me on a low dosage pill because I was breastfeeding. After about 9 months, my periods started getting closer together and heavier. I went off them since my hubby and I were going to start ttc again in a few months anyway and found that my periods regulated. My OB told me that the hormones in bcp only stay in your body for a day - that's why if you miss a pill you can get pregnant. Therefore, when you stop taking them, you shouldn't have any "side effects" from them.

The first time, my period disappeared for 2 years. Then I ended up pregnant (which was hard to do but we managed). The second time I got off to conceive another baby, and a week and a half later we conceived! I'm 18 weeks pregnant...and I'm getting a tubal done after this baby is born.

I went off the pill to try to have a baby. I cramped really bad when I was ovulating. When you are on the pill you dont actually ovulate. You could also have heavier period

I didn't have any side effects .. My body just returned to normal.

My periods lasted longer, I bled more and they were less regular than they were on the pill

You sound like you'd be pregnant, yet in case you used secure practices, that cant be. after I took myself off of the tablet, i had an same aspect, alongside with mild recognizing. It sounds to me like your bodys basically attempting to comprehend whats happening because the hormone intake it has now's diverse. except you would possibly want to have had unprotected sex? if so, take a try! sturdy success
